EventsFirefox Birthday PartyIt's been five years since the version 1.0 of the world's best web browser - Mozilla Firefox - has been released. Mozilla BiH organized a small birthday celebration party at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. It consisted of a presentation about Mozilla Firefox's life story and just an ordinary, fun gathering where we had a chance to have a drink and chat about Firefox. We also gave out lots of swag to our visitors in order to spread the word.It was great to meet all those Mozilla fans from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Next year we shall probably organize something bigger, for all the Mozillians from all around the world. Be sure not to miss next year's party, and until then simply enjoy photos from this year's one. MECT 09In April 2009, a crew from France sat in car and drove around Europe spreading the word about Mozilla and Open Web. They visited nine countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina was one of them. It was really a huge honour and pleasure to be their host.According to the *masterplan* they were supposed to spend around four days in Sarajevo, but they spent only two days due to car problems they've had in Montenegro. But we didn't let that spoil our plans, so we still had lots of fun when they finally arrived. We did our best to use the time we had to get to know each others better, to share ideas and experiences, to introduce our community to them and finally to talk about future mutual activities. They promissed us to come back next year (or even sooner), and we can't wait to meet them again in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Community MeetupEven though we communicate a lot over the internet, there are things we like to discuss *live*. Also, it is more fun. So, once in two weeks (we meet more often if there is need for that) we meet at the Community Meetup. It is a best way to manage community, do brainstorming, but also have fun :) |
